Prysten house (possibly not its real name) in the 1490’s was the home of wealthy wine merchant Thomas Yogge. It is one of the oldest standing buildings in Plymouth. Set in the heart of Plymouths old town, the building its self contains a well room and a stunning wraparound courtyard with an ornately carved medieval balcony stretching around it. Owned by Plymouth council and managed by The Abbey Trust the top floors are used for community activities and house an incredible Plymouth Tapestry.
Knead Pizza is based on the ground floor through the incredible wooden door from the recently restored plaza on Finewell street. The restaurant includes the well room and courtyard as well as a welcoming bar space and hall room.
Main Hall
The largest of our rooms, best for those bigger tables, but also pretty perfect for a date too.
Well Room
An intimate space with tables revolved around a 1400’s well. Good for tables of 2 or 4 people.
Entrance Hall
Feel the buzz of the bar in our entrance hall, this room is wheelchair accessible and dog friendly.
Courtyard
Our medieval Italian vibe courtyard is open throughout the summer months.
